Real Weddings | Soph and Dan

The shoes! The shoes!
Red done right excites me just a little bit. It's such a tricky colour to use, but done well can look absolutely fabulouso. Example one...this delightful wedding of the lovely Soph and Dan. Made their own with brilliant details, these few snaps are a little peek into red done right. Ooh. That would make a good title...

Cushions for the kiddies

Some very sweet Bluebird and Honey pretties that I wanted to share with you my dear readers. Mainly because I have a new little niece who is hands down the cutest baby ever (don't argue with me, tis my blog, I will win) and I am personally funding the global economy back out of something I will refer to as the "black hole of greed" to avoid mentioning the GFC (damn.) with my present buying, but also because pink and red together make me happy.

To sum up.
My niece - cutest ever.
Pink and red - topso.
Bluebird and Honey - Clever muffins.

Cosy.

After our brief and shining (ha!) moment in the sun, it seem we're back to temperatures reminiscent of the cold snap of '64. Chilly times, those days. And so, being the kind and generous friend I am, I thought I'd share this woolly delight with you! Rey, at greybirdtextiles, is an incredibly talented Scot whom I've recently had the pleasure of meeting. She hails from the Highlands, and creates these toasty looking woolly bundles. This here is called 'Chilli Spice', which in itself is enough to get me wanting a roll or 5. She has loads of creations, all handmade, and unique in their colour, just waiting for you to fall in love with them and send off a request. Much like a mail order bride. But different.

So, as Rey is Scottish, and therefore one of my favourite people, I'm actually considering learning to knit, simply to use some of her amazing creations. You should too. We could have a knit off. Do you think we could have snacks?

Real Weddings...Dana and Hunter

There is nothing I don't love about this wedding! You can feel the happiness radiating through the photos, all drenched in sunlight and colour. I believe your wedding is about you and should reflect who you are in the tiniest detail. Like here! With all the colour and music and garden-y delights! Weddings should be fun and lovely. Yes. Full of smiles and hugs. Unless you don't like hugs. In which case, just smiles (and perhaps an awkward pat on the shoulder).

Thankyous to Dana and Hunter for sharing your delightful wedding snaps, and to their brilliant photographers Sarah and Dan at Chennergy Weddings. Go to their site. Read about them. These are some seriously cool folk, who not only are ridiculously talented, but are spreading the love in ways that, if my heart could sing, it would be belting out a jazzy number right now. But it can't, so it won't. But I'm fairly sure the pictures speak for themselves. So pretty!

Feel free to pop over (do it) and say hi. Ask them if they'd like a cup of tea. Although if you're at their place that could get awkward.

Cutest cake topper, plus I like the colour red (you may or may not have picked up on this...).

So, again, my mind is refusing to cooperate to produce anything too complex. Therefore! In protest, I am going to introduce you to an exceedingly talented photographer who has not only taken a very cool picture of birds on a cake, but also has a cool name.

Max.

Very cool name, absolutely smashing photos.

So. Many, many more to come, but for now, how cute is this cake topper!? Many thanks to Kelly and Kyle (and congratulations!) for sharing their birdy genius, and to Max (cool name, remember?), who will be featured here, if I have anything to do with it (and I think I will), ad nauseum. Get excited.
